Deals

Track sales opportunities on a board of stages, create a deal from the conversation, and drag it until it is won or lost.

On this page

A deal is a sales opportunity with one customer: an annual subscription, a wholesale order, a project. In Hadir Chat a deal lives beside the conversation it came from and moves across a board of stages until it is won or lost, so the team knows where every opportunity stands and what it is worth.

Note: deals are available if your plan includes them. If it does not, the page shows what you need to turn them on.

Open the deals board

In the sidebar, select Sales, then Deals. You see one column per sales stage, each with its number of deals and their total value. At the top:

  • My deals (1): shows only your deals.
  • The Search by title or name box (2).
  • New deal (3).
  • A pipeline picker, if you have more than one sales pipeline.

Create a deal

The easiest way is from the conversation itself, so the deal is linked to it and to the customer automatically: open the Contact panel beside the conversation, then Deals, and select New deal. Or create it from the board:

  1. Select New deal, or the + at the top of the stage you want.
  2. Enter the Deal title and choose the Contact by searching their name, phone or email.
  3. Enter the Deal value and the Expected close date if you know them.
  4. Check the Sales pipeline, Stage and Deal owner, and write what the team should know in Notes.
  5. Select Create.

If you add quotation lines to the deal, its value is calculated from them. See Quotations.

Move a deal and close it

  • Drag the card from one stage to the next as the sale progresses.
  • To close the deal, drag it to the Closed won or Closed lost column. These two columns show The last 30 days only.
  • Select a card to open Edit deal: change its details, add tasks to it, see its Linked conversations, or delete it.

To link an existing deal to a new conversation with the customer, open Deals in that conversation's panel and select the link button next to the deal.

Who sees what

An agent sees the deals they own, and deals with no owner on conversations assigned to them. Administrators, and roles with "See and edit every task and deal, not only their own", see every deal, and only they can hand an existing deal to another owner.

Set up your sales pipelines

An administrator sets these up from Sales, then Sales settings:

  • New pipeline: one per line of business, such as "Subscriptions" and "Projects". Each has a Pipeline name, a Currency, and What to call the item (Deal, Opportunity or Request).
  • Stages: type a stage name, then Add stage; drag to reorder; and set each stage's kind: Open, Closed won or Closed lost.
  • Make default: the pipeline new deals go into.

If you remove a stage or pipeline that holds deals, Hadir Chat asks where they should go under Move deals to.

Note: to let agents know when a deal is handed to them or changes stage, set it up in Settings, then Notifications. Each agent's sales results are in Sales reports under Reports.
