Verify your number and get the official badge

The official badge is the blue badge next to your business name that your customers see in WhatsApp. Meta gives it to accounts that meet its conditions, and you can request it for free. Meta makes the decision; Hadir Chat shows you how far along you are.

Open the Verification tab

1. Open Settings, then Inboxes, and select the settings button next to your WhatsApp channel.
2. Open the Verification tab (1).

Check the conditions

The Official badge (free) card (2) lists four conditions, each with a mark showing whether it is met:

• Business verified by Meta: in Meta's business settings, under Security centre.
• Display name approved: Meta reviews the display name when the number is connected or renamed.
• Number on the platform for at least 30 days: Hadir Chat counts from the day the number was connected.
• Two-step verification on for the number: Meta does not let us read it, so turn it on in WhatsApp Manager, then tick I have turned on two-step verification for this number (3).

Request the badge

1. When every condition is met, Request the official badge (free) (4) becomes available. Until then it says “Available once every condition above is met.”
2. Select it to open Meta's WhatsApp Manager, and send the request there.
3. Come back to the tab later for the status: Not requested yet, Under review at Meta or Official account.

Note: if Meta refuses, the status reads “Request rejected; you can ask again after 30 days”. The page refreshes its status from Meta when you open it, at most once an hour.

Free or subscription?

The free official badge is Meta's decision, based on how well known your business is and its conditions, and it may be refused. The alternative is Meta Verified: a monthly subscription paid to Meta directly, faster and with clearer conditions. Select Subscribe to Meta Verified in the second card; Meta shows the price at sign-up, and it may not be available in every country.
