Refunds and cancelling

When you can get a payment back, and how to end your plan at period end or change your mind.

On this page

Cancelling and refunds are two separate things: cancelling stops the next renewal, and a refund returns one particular payment. The rules below are taken from the published refund policy, which is the reference if anything differs.

What the refund policy says

  • The window: "You have 14 days from the date of each payment to ask for it back." We answer within one working day.
  • Each payment on its own: "The window applies to each payment separately, monthly or yearly. After it closes the subscription stays active to the end of the paid period without a refund."
  • How the money comes back: if we agree, "the money goes back to the same payment method, and banks usually take three to ten working days."
  • Cancelling is not a refund: "Cancelling is not itself a refund; a refund is asked for within the window above."
  • Hadir AI credit: "Prepaid credit is not refunded in cash and stays valid for as long as the workspace exists."
  • Downgrades: a downgrade applies at the end of the current period, so you keep what you paid for; the difference is not refunded.
  • Billing errors: "Any amount charged in error is returned in full to the same payment method within ten working days of confirmation."

Ask for a refund

Only the workspace owner can ask for a refund, from the Plan and billing page itself.

  1. In your account area, select Plan and billing and scroll to Refund. Each paid payment is listed with its amount, invoice number and payment date, and how many days are left to ask.
  2. Next to the payment, select Ask for a refund. The button is there while the payment is inside the refund window and has no request yet.
  3. The Ask for a refund dialog opens with the amount. Add a reason under Why (optional) if you like.
  4. Select Send the request. You see "We have your refund request and will answer within one working day.", and the payment reads "Your refund request is being reviewed."
  5. You get a confirmation email that we have your request, then an email with the decision: either the refund is approved, or the reason we could not approve it. The same decision appears under the payment on the page.
Note: once a payment's window has closed, or while a request for it already exists, there is no Ask for a refund button; the page says "The refund window for this payment has closed." or shows the request's state. On the last day it says "Today is the last day to ask for a refund." If you cannot use the page, email support@hadir.chat with the invoice number.

End your plan

Ending always happens at the end of the period you paid for, never the same day, so you keep what you paid for.

  1. In your account area, select Plan and billing.
  2. Under Your plan, select the End my plan link (1). Only the workspace owner sees it, and only while the plan is active.
  1. An End your plan? window opens with the date your paid period ends.
  2. If you like, fill in Why are you leaving? (optional) (1).
  3. Select End my plan at period end (2).

Your plan now shows "Your plan ends on …", and you get an email with the same date. Everything stays fully active until then.

Changed your mind?

Before the end date, open Plan and billing and select Keep my plan next to the end date. Your plan continues unchanged.

After your plan ends

The workspace is paused, and your team cannot sign in. All conversations, contacts and settings are kept, and choosing a new plan reopens the workspace as it was. See Plans and changing plan.

Ending your plan does not delete your data. Exporting your data and erasing the workspace are separate actions in Settings.
