Searching
Find any conversation, message or contact by name, number or message text, and jump anywhere from the command bar.
On this page
When a customer asks "what happened with the order I messaged you about last week?", you need that conversation fast. Hadir Chat gives you two ways: the search page, for conversations, messages and contacts, and the command bar, for jumping around and running actions from the keyboard.
Search from the search page
- Select the Search... box at the top of the side menu.
- Type three or more characters: the customer's name, mobile number or email, a conversation number, or words from a message (1).
- Results appear under tabs (2): All results, Contacts, Conversations and Messages, each with its count.
- Select a result to open it. Message results show the part of the message that contains your words.
Note: when you are not typing in a field, press / to jump straight to the search box. Earlier searches are listed under Recent searches.
Narrow down message results
If there are too many results, use the tools next to Filter messages by: (3):
- Sender: pick a contact or an agent to see only their messages.
- Inbox: limit the search to one inbox, such as your store's WhatsApp.
- Filter by time: the last 7, 30, 60 or 90 days, or a custom range with a start and end date, then Apply.
To remove a filter, select Clear filter.
The command bar
Press ⌘ + K on a Mac, or Ctrl + K on Windows, anywhere in the inbox. The Search or jump to box opens (1).
- Type a page name such as "Labels" or "Reports" and press Enter to go there.
- Inside a conversation you also get commands for it: Change Assignee, Change Team, Add label to the conversation, Change Priority, Snooze Conversation and Execute Macro.
- Move between commands with the arrow keys; close the bar with Esc.
Tips for sharper searches
- If you know the inbox or the period, filter by it first; it is quicker than scrolling.
- Agents see results only from the inboxes they belong to; administrators see everything.
- To group conversations you return to often, use labels or folders, as in Working with conversations.
